KIRIBATI EDUCATION FOR ALL

The Kiribati Education for All (EFA) 2015 National Review reflects the nation's commitment to achieving universal, inclusive, and quality education in line with global EFA goals. Led by the Ministry of Education, with support from the Ministry of Finance and Economic Development (MFED), the review assessed progress and challenges in expanding equitable access to education across the country.

• Inclusive Education: Establishment of model inclusion schools and training of teacher assistants to support students with disabilities.

Despite these advancements, the review acknowledged ongoing challenges such as disparities in education quality between urban and remote areas, and the need for improved data collection to inform policy decisions. The MFED's role in coordinating development assistance and ensuring effective allocation of resources was crucial in supporting these educational initiatives.
