2012 Development Partners Forum Overview

In 2012, the Ministry of Finance and Economic Development (MFED) convened the Development Partners Forum to strengthen collaboration between the Government of Kiribati and its international development partners. This forum provided a platform for open dialogue, alignment of development priorities, and coordination of efforts to support the nation's strategic goals.

Key Objectives:

• Enhance Aid Effectiveness: Ensure that development assistance aligns with national priorities outlined in the Kiribati Development Plan (KDP) 2012–2015.
• Promote Transparency and Accountability: Foster mutual accountability between the government and development partners through regular reporting and information sharing.
• Strengthen Partnerships: Build stronger relationships with bilateral and multilateral partners to mobilize resources and technical support for sustainable development initiatives.
