The State-Owned Enterprises Act was introduced to improve the efficiency, effectiveness, governance and accountability of government-owned enterprises in Kiribati. It sets principles for how SOEs should operate and establishes responsibilities for Ministers and reporting/accountability requirements for SOEs.
